The Medeans(or Median) are an ancient race of people who have lived all over the Mediterainian sea & probably farther afeild.

Very highly evolved thoughout time & history,I am related to one by marriage from a long line who have resided in Crete.although they appear in even recognised history from all over the place & would appear to be matriachal rather than patraichal.

Plato was born during the Medean Wars,or are least one of them.

Israelite exiles who
had been transplanted to fringe areas of the Assyrian Empire and to the
"Cities of the Medes" (2-Kings 17:6) became a dominant element amongst the
peoples in question. These peoples later moved westward.

That 'Celtic-Assyrian-Medean connection' yahoo group is very interesting. On the Celts page, under the subtitle 'Eastward expansion' it gives the impression that the Celts expanded eastward from the Hallstatt region between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC to settle "in Thrace (Bulgaria), which they ruled for over a century, and Anatolia, where they settled as the Galatians" (from the Bible). But this expansion eastward at this time has to be long after the Celts westward expansion that originated from Anatolia. These Celts that traveled eastward from the Hallstatt region at this time no doubt met with some Celts that were still in Anatolia to form what we know as the Galatians. The Celt page says "Despite their geographical isolation from the rest of the Celtic world, the Galatians maintained their Celtic language for at least seven hundred years. St Jerome, who visited Ancyra (modern-day Ankara) in 373 AD, likened their language to that of the Treveri of northern Gaul." In other sources I have read that a Gaelic language was spoken in Anatolia (modern Turkey) up until the 14th or 15th centuries when the Ottoman Empire was formed.

Prior to the Babylonian captivity of the Kingdom of Judah around 626 BC Jeremias prophesied (in Jeremias 51:27-28) the defeat of Babylon by the kings of Ararat, Menni, and Ascenez and the armies of Taphsar and Media. The kings of Ararat would have to be the Armenians. This would have to be when Babylonia falls to the Persians around 539 BC. These dates are from a timeline in the back of a New Revised Standard Version Bible.

This would be long after the battle between Hayk and Nimrod. But at a forum that I used to go to this guy from India said the Iranians (Persians) drove the Zoroastrians out, who evidently settled in India. This guy from India used the names Nimrod and Zoroaster interchangeably, as if they were the same. This page on Nimrod also identifies Nimrod with Zoroaster a couple of times, as well as "a complex of Mediterranean deities; among those he picked were Asar, Baal, Dumuzi and Osiris."

Yeah this page on Cyrus the Great says "In 539 BC, towards the end of September, Cyrus' armies, under the command of Gubaru, the governor of Gutium, attacked Opis on the Tigris river and defeated the Babylonians after a minor uprising." The map of the Persian Empire of the time shows Media, Armenia, Assyria and Judah within it's borders.

I find this map (from the Artaxiad Dynasty) of the Armenian Empire of Tigran the Great between 95 and 66 BC interesting. Prior to the Romans Judea was a vassal state of the Armenian Empire. Note Iberia near the top of the map. I have read elsewhere that Iberia was the Armenian's name for Georgia. It's interesting that where Spain and Portugal are now is called the Iberian Peninsula.

Regarding Albania (now Azerbaijan) on the above map there is a discussion/argument at this All Empires History Community forum and other places online as to whether this former Albania south of the Causasas on the Caspian Sea has a connection to the country of Albania in the Balkins on the Adriatic Sea, and possibly even Alba (Scotland). Referring to Albania in the Balkins I think one poster on the forum sums it up pretty good by saying "There are so many nationalities there that you can not for certain say who is related to whom." I think the same could be said for most of the middle east too. Azerbaijan borders Iran to the south. A friend of mine that used to go to this coffee shop here in town that was owned by an Iranian guy told me that the Iranian coffee shop owner told him that there is a group of people that live in northern Iran that claim to be Celtic.

While I am doing this research I keep running into people that are trying to prove that the lost 10 tribes of Israel are the people of England and the US, like a couple of comments on the 'Celtic-Assyrian-Medean connection' yahoo group try to show. I find this interesting because it doesn't matter who the lost 10 tribes are now. It doesn't matter because those that are of faith in Jesus Christ are the children of Abraham, as we can see in Galatians 3. In verses 6-9 "As it is written: Abraham believed God, and it was reputed to him unto justice. [7] Know ye therefore, that they who are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. [8] And the scripture, foreseeing, that God justifieth the Gentiles by faith, told unto Abraham before: In thee shall all nations be blessed. [9] Therefore they that are of faith, shall be blessed with faithful Abraham." Then verse 16 "To Abraham were the promises made and to his seed. He saith not, And to his seeds, as of many: but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." Then verses 26-29 "For you are all the children of God by faith, in Christ Jesus. [27] For as many of you as have been baptized in Christ, have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek: there is neither bond nor free: there is neither male nor female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. [29] And if you be Christ's, then are you the seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise." If there has been a "chosen people" in the last 2,000 years this pretty much tells us who they are now.

I didn't know what you meant on your last post of the previous page when you said "Oak & the Elm are *royal* houses, I believe?" So I did a search for 'royal houses of the Oak & the Elm, Scotland'. I still don't know what you mean but from the search I found this page titled The Stone Puzzle of Rosslyn Chapel. This page says this,

"At the Battle of Falkirk, where King Edward defeated William Wallace, the king’s archers stayed at Temple and were assisted by the Master of England and the Preceptor of Scotland. Edward’s march to Falkirk had been under Templar command. But despite this allegiance to the English king, the Knights Templar suffered a similar fate to their French brethren.
When the Templars were rounded up in France in 1307, Scotland itself was not affected; but then the area south of the Firth of Forth, where Rosslyn is situated, belonged to England at that time. This fact is often neglected and it is frequently assumed that the Scottish borders were then as they are now, and that the Knights Templar of Temple were affected by the ban.
Upon receiving the Papal Decree, Edward ordered all Templars to surrender themselves at Holyrood Palace."

So there's our answer for the other thread, the Knights Templar did fight against Scotland for King Edward. Although the Scottish Norman Lords were pretty close to King Edward too.

This Rosslyn page disagrees with the Sinclairs connection to the Knights Templar twice. First by saying "The centre at Temple was opened in 1129. It is alleged that Hugues de Payens was married to Catherine St. Clair, whose family had given the land to the order. However, there is no evidence for these allegations. The Sinclairs were not present in the area at this time and it is known that Ballantrodoch was donated by King David I himself." Secondly by saying "The Knights Templar were prosecuted by John Solario, the papal legate to Scotland. During the trials, both Henry St. Clair and his son William were called as witnesses. Researcher Mark Oxbrow points out that this evidence is at odds with the popular accounts, which state that the Sinclairs were the Knights’ protectors. The evidence suggests nothing of the kind. In fact, the Sinclairs stated that they felt the Knights Templar were of no good, for “if the Templars had been faithful Christians they would in no way have lost the Holy Land”.
In spite of such testimony, which was after all merely the Sinclairs airing their personal prejudice against their neighbouring knights, the verdict was that the accusations were not proven and the Knights were released. Acceding to French pressure, in 1312 Edward did abolish the Templars in both England and Scotland. Any Scottish Templars under arrest were confined to the Cistercian Houses."

The Rosslyn page also says this, "Despite the fact that the ban did mean the end of Temple’s association with Templars, one legend has it that treasure of the Knights Templar was removed secretly from Paris, to be hidden in Temple. A local legend states: “Twixt the oak and the elm tree/You will find buried the millions free.” French legends about the Templar treasure apparently also state that the treasure was taken to Scotland, with the knights landing on the Isle of Mey, the first island they would encounter in the Firth of Forth."

This "Isle of Mey" must be the same Isle of May that you spotted on your last trip eh? Note “Twixt the oak and the elm tree/You will find buried the millions free” is referring to the church at Temple, not Rosslyn. Andy if you find the treasure of the Knights Templar maybe you could cut me in for a small portion if this lead helps.
