Secret Templar Vatican Documents

The interview in this video shows that the so-called secret Vatican documents aren't as secret as the media made them out to be.
Templar Secret Not So Secret
Every book these days has a media campaign attached to it; this is true whether the book sells for $4 or £4,000. So why should the Vatican be any different than Random House or any other publisher.
In October of 2007, the 700th anniversary of the arrest of the Templars in France, the Vatican announced the sale of a limited edition - only 800 copies - of the Processus Contra Templarios or the proceedings of the Templar Trials. This leather bound special archive edition sold for roughly $8,000 US.
At the time of the announcement, Professor Barbara Frale was marvelling at what a great thing this was and how it would benefit scholars - well wealthy ones at least. Frale was the Vatican employee who was in the news several years ago regarding an equally wonderful find - the Chinon parchment.
The problem of course is that these so called Secret Archive documents really aren't that secret, but that would bugger up the media campaign, so don't tell anyone. The word secret is being used in the Latin form, which simply means private.
The bottom line is the results of the Templar Trials have been known for years and authors like Nicholson and Barber have written wonderful books on the subject that cost far less than £4,000.
